Alaska: Whales, Wildlife, and Water

As many of you know, we’ve had the chance to travel twice in Alaska, courtesy of NW Explorations.  And not just travel, but to do so in an amazing first class way, through both the B.C. Inside Passage from Bellingham WA to Ketchikan, and then from Ketchikan to Juneau via the Alaska I.P.

Daily encounters with incredible wildlife and scenery produced images that we’ve been very pleased to share with folks.  These eventually turned into a 6 week exhibition, a first for us, last fall.

As such we have had many inquiries about how to see some of the shots from our fabulous trips.

FINALLY! An online store for Creative Indulgence

After more than a month in planning, preceded by years of requests, Creative Indulgence is opening their first e-store!

In connection with one of the premier online malls, we will be selling many of the very prints that you have been inquiring about.  We researched many options, many costing thousands of dollars to have a simple store that we can sell our prints.  These were complicated at best, as well as expensive.

Our store will be opening on Friday, January 23.  If you would like to be notified, drop us an email and we will send you a link to the site.  Check back soon for additional information.

As a teaser, here are some of the prints that will be featured, leading off with baby Trumpeter Swans (only 6 days old), and Alaska wildlife including Orcas and Eagles:

A fund-raiser event sponsored by Seattle Dog Magazine…

Held at the Bell Harbor Conference Center on January 10th and 11th, the first annual Winterfest 2009 welcomed extra special guest Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer).  Cesar was on site to meet attendees and sign autographs for everyone waiting in line.

Simply Black, part two…

In addition to the first session at Civilized Nature, we’ve now added a 2nd session at Paws-Abilities a week earlier. This is also open to the public (but already just about sold out).

A new look…

Announcing the next public photo shoot!

On February 13 and 14, 2009, Creative Indulgence will be at Civilized Nature Pet Supplies in Sammamish, WA for our first portrait session of the year!

This one will be very different from any other that we have done to date.  We call it “Simply Black”, and as you may have already guessed, it’s a black background with incredible lighting!

We know that using our lighting techniques we can photograph ANY ANIMAL.  This means that we are actively encouraging people with black dogs and cats to sign up for this shoot.  The results will be very dramatic and artistic.

Needless to say, we are excited about offering all of you something different and relatively rare in animal portraiture!
